Tickets are non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or resold for commercial gain (this does not affect your statuary rights).

Visitors will not be permitted admission to the Palm House without a valid ticket, either printed or shown on a mobile device, or without proof of eligibility for discounted entry, where applicable. 

Every visitor needs to book a time slot including those such as carers and members.  

Please note; dogs and other pets are not allowed at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, except for disability assistance animals.   

For the safety of visitors, staff and RBGE’s collections, RBGE reserves the right to refuse admission. 

Children 5 to 15 require a ticket, under 5s do not.  

Your ticket gives you access to the Palm Houses; no other glasshouses are currently open to visitors.   

Visitors are advised to reserve their desired entry time slot in advance, to avoid disappointment. 

Tickets can only be redeemed against the original dated time slot chosen at the time of purchase. 

Please be aware, to ensure the safety of our visitors, the Garden may close at short notice due to extreme weather.  Any decision to cancel will be made by 10am on the day of your booked visit to the Palm House. We will make every effort to notify you of a cancellation, so it is essential you provide an email address when booking.  

If your booked visit to the Palm Houses is cancelled due to extreme weather, you will receive a full refund.  No refunds or exchanges are available if the weather is inclement. 

Proof of entitlement for certain types of tickets are required for entry (for example proof of benefits, reciprocal membership). 

It is your responsibility to check the accuracy of the details on your email confirmation or tickets (as appropriate), as mistakes cannot always be rectified. When you receive your email confirmation or tickets, please keep them in a safe place as we cannot be held responsible for any Tickets that are lost or stolen. 

Palm House tickets can be purchased online or in person at either of the East Gate or John Hope Gateway.  

Online tickets are subject to the general terms and conditions of entry to the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.  

We reserve the right to amend a booked entry time to the Palm Houses, once you have booked but we will endeavour to notify you as soon as we become aware that this is necessary.  If another mutually agreeable entry time cannot be found the ticket will be cancelled and we will refund you all the monies you have paid for the ticket, but no further compensation will be paid.
